I'm Krissy, a family and children's photographer based in Puslinch, just outside of Guelph, Ontario. I create natural, heartfelt photographs that capture your family's connection, personality and the little moments that make this season of life yours.
Whether we're exploring an outdoor location, creating beautiful portraits in my studio, or simply letting your children be themselves, my goal is to make your photography experience relaxed, enjoyable and genuinely you.

Short, sweet and designed to capture a little piece of this season.
Throughout the year, I offer limited seasonal and themed mini sessions for families, children and more.
From fall portraits to holiday memories and special studio events, mini sessions are a wonderful way to update your family's photographs without committing to a full session.

Nice to meet you!
I live in Puslinch with my husband, son, mother and two cats, Phoebe and Precious. I volunteer for the KHPS school council and with the group Help Protect Puslinch.
Photography is my second career and I'm so happy to be doing it! I decided to move into photography after losing my dad suddenly to cancer. I realized that life is too short not to be doing something you love. Also, when he passed away we had hardly any recent photos of him and I don't want other families to experience what ours went through. Life can get busy and go by so quickly. It's so important to make the time to capture memories with those you love.
At Krissy Thompson Photography I want you to actually look forward to having your photo taken. It should be a fun and relaxed experience. I enjoy getting to know you and want you to feel as though you are visiting with a friend.
I'm conveniently located just outside Guelph and photograph families throughout the surrounding area. I serve clients in Guelph, Puslinch, Cambridge, Kitchener-Waterloo, Milton, Hamilton and surrounding communities.

Working With Me
My Process
1.Fill out the form
Submit an inquiry through my contact page. Tell me what type of session you're interested in, potential dates or time of year, and the number of people who will be included.
2.Let's chat
I'll contact you to discuss my availability and answer any questions you may have. If you decide to proceed with the booking, I will send you a booking link.
3.PREPARING FOR THE SESSION
Once you have booked your photography session, I will send you my Style Guide to assist you in deciding what to wear.
Try to prepare your kiddos in advance so they know what to expect. Never underestimate the power of bribery for unwilling participants!
I will send you reminders leading up to the date and include the forecast, directions and any other important information you should know..
4.Picture time
Most sessions are about one hour in length. It could take more or less time, depending on the session goes. If I get enough variety of shots in the less time, we can end early. Similarly, if we run into unforeseen circumstances that delay us, I buffer enough time to go over if needed. Sometimes it takes longer for some families to warm up to the camera, and that's perfectly ok.
5.Gallery delivery
After the session, I will take approximately 2 weeks to deliver your photos. Photos are delivered through an online gallery by digital download.
If you would like the option to select images before I edit them, we can arrange that. Just keep in mind that it may extend the delivery time.
If you need the photos by a specific date, just let me know at the time of booking or well enough in advance so I can plan accordingly. It may not always be possible during the holiday season.
